Pope visits Africa, reaffirms ban on condoms- Seriously?

I cannot believe what I read sometimes but then again nothing should surprise me anymore. Let me give you the highlights of this article...

Pope Benedict XVI refuses to soften the Vatican's ban on condom use: Seriously? This coming from a man who has never had sex, never had to deal with the threat of children and not only that but your saying this in a country that is so riddled with AIDS and HIV. Its almost like saying by all means please spread the disease and lets hope you all die.

The Catholic Church has long been on the front line of HIV care, he said, adding that it is probably the largest private provider of HIV care in the world.- Of course they are! If you are going to tell people dont use condoms as it could possibly help stop or slow the spread of AIDS or HIV you better provide something for them for it!

More than 22 million people in sub-Saharan Africa are infected with HIV, according to a 2008 UNAIDS/WHO report. Nine out of 10 children with HIV in the world live in the region, which has 11.4 million orphans because of AIDS, the report said, and 1.5 million people there died of the disease in 2007 - Wow! Why would you listen to the pope? I certainly wouldnt...I dont care who he is. Get with the times Mr. Pope and realize that your 1rst Century ideas dont bode well for your followers.

Knowing! Movie Review

Wow! Nicolas Cage does not disappoint! This movie is an action packed 2 1/2 hour thriller and end of the world adventure. I find it hard to sit in the theatre for that long watching a movie without looking at my watch and squirming the whole time (I did that in Watchmen! HORRIBLE MOVIE!!) but I just breezed right through this.

I wont give out any spoilers except to say the only disappointment on this movie was the last ten seconds. Essentially for all that dont know this is about something or someone apparently being after Nicolas Cage's son and whispering all the tragedy's that have befallen and are about to befall our world. I am an avid disaster movie fan and I must say I was impressed!

So go see it, dont take the kids cause it can be scary for anyone under 10. I say this simply because the children crying during the movie, didnt realize it was a kids movie, I certainly wouldnt let my 9 year old see it! Have a date night or just go see it on your own...its worth it!

I Love you man! Movie Review

Peter Klaven is a successful real estate agent who, upon getting engaged to the woman of his dreams, Zooey, discovers, to his dismay and chagrin, that he has no male friend close enough to serve as his Best Man. Peter immediately sets out to rectify the situation, embarking on a series of bizarre and awkward "man-dates," before meeting Sydney Fife, a charming, opinionated man with whom he instantly bonds. But the closer the two men get, the more Peter's relationship with Zooey suffers, ultimately forcing him to choose between his fiancee and his new found "bro," in a story that comically explores what it truly means to be a "friend."

This movie was a blast! Definitely not for a kid but it kept me lauging. I love Jason Segal and Paul Rudd so there is nothing better! I give this movie a 4 out of 5 stars!
